MySQL Workbench

MySQL Workbench 1.1 the successor of the DBDesigner4 project is a tool maintained and developed by the MySQL Developer Tools Team for visual modeling and designing of MYSQL databases .

It offers complex migration of different types of databases into the MYSQL format. To install this program , you should have some minimum hardware requirements such as a computer with an Intel or Xeon processors with a processing speed of 3GHz or a AMD processor with the same speed, You will need at least 1 GB of RAM ,Another important requirement is a Graphic Accelerators such as nVidia or ATI or others but it should support OpenGL 1.5 or higher. MySQL Workbench requires that you install Microsoft .Net framework 2.0 or later on your Microsoft Windows NT machine or if you are using a Linux distribution then it should support the latest GTKmm . For MacOSX users , They should install Cocoa support. One of the main program features is the next generation "Cairo" based diagramming canvas and the extending the program's architecture by writing plug-ins and scripts in Lua / C / C++ programming languages. The program providers a visual database design and allows forward and reverse engineering for your databases. Another good feature is the ability for synchronization and comparison between databases that can be used for backup reason.
